Bedminster
A salaried GP/partner is required for an expanding practice from March 2010, for six sessions a week including on-call (no OOH) for a teaching and training practice, of five partners and an associate (salaried) GP. It is PMS; paper-light (EMIS LV5) has excellent QOF achievement, supportive PHCT and actively participates in local research and a member of the South Bristol Practice Based Commissioning Consortium. An innovative, accomplished, practice manager is required to join a friendly team in a forward looking medical practice. Cadbury Heath
A GP is required to cover maternity locum from 12 April to mid September 2010 for morning and afternoon surgeries on Wednesday and Thursday’s with on-call Thursday afternoon (and occasional Wednesday to cover holiday and study days). The practice has 5500 patients, uses EMIS LV, is a high achiever in QOF. Some flexibility in surgery times to fit with other commitments. Vacancies with Frendoc
- Out Of Hours (OOH) locums are needed at either of the OOH sites in North Bristol or South Gloucestershire, you will be responsible for telephone triage, face to face appointments, and home visits. Ideally you will need to be familiar with the local PCT patient pathways and have an understanding of the local community. Full Adastra training is available should you require it. The operating hours are generally from 6.30-11pm and 11pm-8am weekdays and 24 hours over the weekend with four various shift patterns. Whilst we do train registrars, the above positions are only available to qualified GPs, all applicants must be able to provide two UK clinical references.

Frendoc - St Werburghs
An experienced practice nurse is required for a part-time fixed term contract, based at Sussex Place Surgery to join a team of two GP’s and one other practice nurse. You must be able to demonstrate a high degree of clinical autonomy and the ability to work as part of a team. Duties will include all aspects of treatment room work as well as chronic disease management.

An experienced part-time phlebotomist/HCA with phlebotomy skills is required for a fixed term contract, based at Sussex Place Surgery to work 12 hours a week, over three mornings in this busy inner city surgery. For both positions you will need excellent communication skills and be fully computer literate. Hartcliffe
Due to retirement an enthusiastic and committed partner is required from August 2010 to join an eight partner (5wte) and full supporting primary health care team providing high quality care to a housing estate (list size 7800). This PMS, iSoft Synergy: paper-light teaching practice has a very high QOF achievement with above average morbidity prevalence, full PHCT with on site district nurses, community matrons, midwives, podiatry, dentist, chiropractor, physiotherapist, drugs team and outreach obstetrics. NHS South Gloucestershire is looking to appoint a GP who has an interest in developing their skills and knowledge to act as Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children. The role is largely advisory and does not include case management. Support, training and mentorship will be provided in line with individual needs to ensure that the successful applicant is equipped with the knowledge and skills required to undertake this role.
